Part 2/2: Christmas Decoration Tour 2017!

Updated: Jun 7, 2021

Happy Christmas Eve!

As usual, it has arrived with lightning speed and we're scrambling around at the last minute trying to do all.the.things.

And yet, we know that there is still a popular tradition we've heard about where some folks prefer to do ALL their decorating on Christmas Eve itself!!!

If you fall into this category, MORE POWER TO YA. I just know I'll be too busy with onion dip to worry about decking the halls moments before Santa arrives.

Pro Tip: Keep yourself hydrated (with more than eggnog) whilst hanging your boughs of holly! It's a lot of work so make sure you're taking care of yourself as well. It's always worth the effort in the end!

THE REVEAL

As we mentioned in Part 1, we had been super inspired by holiday decor blog posts from Megan Martin Creative, Turtle Creek Lane, and many more, we wanted to help get you into the Christmas spirit by showing you how we deck the halls around these parts.

Please enjoy touring our dual headquarters!

"THE SOUTH POLE"

Living room side = Coastal / Boho inspired, with teals, silver, white, clear, aqua, tan accents.

Psst: Some of our favorite places to source holiday decorations: great standby's like Michael's, Christmas Tree Shoppes, Pier1, Marshall's/HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, Target, Oriental Trading, and even Dollar Tree... plus local and boutique places like Carla Gizzi, Mermaid's Yuletide and Bear Creek Herbary,

Office side = Candyland Christmas! With pink, lime green, aqua, silver, white, and a lot of glitter/shimmer accents. And, of course, CANDY!

"THE NORTH POLE"

Rustic Cabin Christmas! With reds, greens, and golds -- with copper, wood and burlap accents.

The fireplace area.

The tree area. (Note: Brown paper packages tied up with string.)

The dining room entryway.

The dining room window.

The dining room tablescape. We used fresh-cut pine & holly from the backyard, white birch logs, pomegranates, mason jars full of cranberries, candle stands in various heights, a vintage Coca-Cola crate, and tons of candles.

Closeup of the package trunk.

Do you know about The Christmas Pickle tradition? We hid one in the Christmas tree, but we love pickles so we gave them their own entire tree as well :)

This is Sawyer, aka, "Sawyer the Destroyer". He's very cute, and very terrible. This was the 50th or 60th pic we tried to get of him in his little gentleman argyle Christmas sweater and he was NOT having it. But then, by happy accident (and a lot of treat dangling off-camera), he sat and posed right underneath the "Joy" sign and it was meant to be. A Christmas miracle. (PS: Follow him on Instagram!)

More pics below!

The homestead, after a lovely snow!

Well, that's all for now.

We hope this has helped bring some holiday cheer to you and yours. And if you're decorating tonight-- good luck and have fun!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
