😱 Social media shutdown?!

Enter: email marketing.

⚡️🔌 Okay, so listen: We've all experienced outages on Instagram & Facebook. So frustrating when you can't reach your customers! Outages are just one example of why social media cannot be your ONLY method of marketing your business. You really need to have an email marketing solution for your business (and a website or landing page). Ideally, you'll have several reliable channels to be able to reach your customers, without having all your eggs in just social media's basket.

💡💡💡💡💡 Remember: You do not own your social media followers.

⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ Any social media platform can change its rules & regs or shut down at any time.

EMAIL MARKETING IS VERY

IMPORTANT FOR YOUR

BRAND, BECAUSE YOU OWN

YOUR LIST.

Which is how I'm sitting in your inbox right now… hi.

👥 Make no mistake: social media remains an important part of online marketing and I am very passionate about managing my social media presence (as well as my clients' accounts), and I use social media as part of my own list-building strategy.

👀 But did you know that less than 10% of your followers actually regularly SEE your social posts?!

💌 Plus: anyone who signs up for your email list is automatically more interested in receiving content from you b/c they’ve already determined that you have something of value to provide. In fact, folks on your email list are 3x more likely to purchase from you than your followers are.

📝 There are tons of ways to start growing your list. Whether it's a sign-up sheet in your store or at your craft fair table, a line of text on your receipts, a pop-up form on your website, or a link on your Instagram bio, etc... what ways can you brainstorm?

🧲 And don't forget about lead magnets, which marketers offer to potential buyers in exchange for their email address. Lead magnets could be a free PDF checklist, template, report, eBook, video, coupon code, etc. (Btw, the design is less important than the content. People are after the information, not the colors and floral borders it includes. So if you're not a designer, don't worry! Draft something in Word or Canva, and do the best you can.)

Even if you're not yet ready to begin actually sending out marketing emails, at least start the process of building your list in the meantime!

Are you ready to get started?

My dream clients are businesses & individuals who are:

creative, kind, open-minded, free-spirited, & have

a story to tell.
